About The Company
Polymath Publishing
Polymath Publishing House's business focus is on selling non-fiction books on Amazon KDP, maintaining a portfolio of around 50 active SKUs. They are primarily aimed at selling in the U.S. market, with ongoing tests in the Australian market to explore international growth potential.

The Challenge
Prior to SellerMate, the client manually managed ads through Amazon Ads Console, which demanded significant time and effort. Daily optimization tasks such as bid adjustments, adding negative keywords, and keyword harvesting took nearly 2–3 hours each day. This hands-on process was time-consuming and often led to inefficiencies and missed optimization opportunities.
The client continued to face high ACoS and wasted spend driven by off-hour clicks and irrelevant keywords. The absence of actionable insights made it difficult to identify when conversions were most likely to happen.
Lack of hourly insights meant they couldn’t detect high-performing “micro windows,” forcing constant manual monitoring to avoid wasted spend.
Problem Identification
Underperforming Campaigns
Together with SellerMate, the client analyzed the ad campaign reporting data to identify underperforming campaigns and Targeting reports to identify match types that are leading to high spends with zero conversions.
Missing Peak-Hour Opportunities
Heatmaps were reviewed to identify windows that led to missed conversion opportunities during peak hours and inefficient spending during low-performing time windows.
Irrelevant Keywords
The account initially contained several 1-gram keywords that were largely irrelevant to the product, resulting in wasted ad spend and poor targeting. An analysis of SellerMate’s live ad tracking revealed that ads were being served for unrelated brands, lacking relevance to the KDP category
High ACoS
Additionally, the client faced challenges in maintaining a profitable ACOS. A significant portion of their ad budget was lost to clicks during off-hours or from irrelevant search terms from the Search Term Report that slipped through due to a lack of data visibility.
The Solution
To fix these issues, the client turned to SellerMate’s automation and intelligence tools to rebuild their ad operations with data-led precision.
Heatmaps to Identify Trends
The client leveraged SellerMate’s Heatmaps to identify performance trends at an hourly level, even though Amazon’s reporting did not provide this granularity. This enabled the setup of Bid dayparting rules at an hourly rate to optimize visibility in real time, focusing on high-converting hours.

Smarter Automation
SellerMate's ready-to-use automation templates allowed the client to experiment with automation rules, set their choice of thresholds to lower the ACoS on poor-performing keywords. Negative keyword automation set-up helped the client to negate the keywords faster through automation alerts.
AI Insights
Real-time product insights through AI recommendations helped the client identify the bad product before it impacted the performance. Furthermore, SellerMate’s N-gram analysis tool helped identify high-converting search terms and prioritize the top-performing keyword patterns for optimization.
Bulk Actions
Additionally, the bulk actions feature enabled the client to optimize the campaigns and harvest search terms within a few minutes, especially with 50+ SKUs in the portfolio. The platform has become an integral part of clients' ad operations, not just for efficiency, but for smarter decision-making at scale.
The Results
After the client connected their Ads account with SellerMate in July 2025, the team observed a clear and substantial improvement in key advertising performance metrics.
Sales increased by 34.8%, driven by improved targeting and real-time performance monitoring. Advertising Cost of Sales (ACoS) dropped by 3.4%, indicating more efficient ad spend and tighter control over campaign performance. Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) grew by 8.7%, showcasing stronger returns with a net profit increase of 43%.
The strategic deployment of automation templates, Ad Report insights, and campaign optimization tools contributed to a strong upward trend in sales efficiency and profitability
